PAINT provide an annual Street art festival that involves Local and International Artists who paint large scale murals. It also includes pop up art exhibitions, workshops and a Youth mentoring program that are available free to the community. We collaborate with community organisations that are established in each region who are passionate about Art and community.
This year we plan to collaborate with Street Prints who organised Tauranga's first Street Art Festival 'Street Prints Mauao' and the YMCA in Christchurch who bought you Street Art Festival Spectrum.

“Street Prints” the imagery of leaving artistic footprints throughout the streets. “Mauao” – (Translation: ‘Caught by the Dawn’) Mount Maunganui’s main Mountain and Tauranga’s proud symbol of mana (prestige, respect, rich history and resource).
Street Prints Mauao was inspired by the romantic notion of joining art with Mount Maunganui’s rich history, beautiful lands and seas, unifying the community and reminding the locals and those who grace our shores of who we are. Our identity.
With the help of Street Artists from around New Zealand and the globe, Street Prints Mauao is a bright, unique and fun Street Art Festival. Our focus is not only to provide an added layer for visitors and tourists to enjoy, but to give something back to our community that is beautiful and means something and for them to enjoy all year round.
“Street Prints” is the imagery of leaving artistic footprints throughout the streets by creating murals on large walls throughout Christchurch city.
Ōtautahi was a name given to Christchurch in the 1930's – the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and located in Canterbury. There are around 450,000 residents in Christchurch – making it the third biggest city in New Zealand.
Street Prints Ōtautahi was inspired by the joining of art on the street and with Christchurch's rich history, beautiful city, river, harbours and unifying the surrounding communities.
With the help of the YMCA in Christchurch and Street Artists from New Zealand and the globe, Street Prints Ōtautahi will be a bright, unique and fun Street Art Festival. The aim is to engage Youth from the Christchurch community and focusing on providing an added layer for visitors and tourists to enjoy, and give something beautiful back to the community to enjoy all year round.
